Social Justice Workshops

The staff of the Darst Center is available to travel to your school, business, or church to facilitate activities and workshops on a variety of social justice topics (travel is usually kept within a half-day drive from Chicago). We welcome your ideas as to how we can facilitate local spaces of critical reflection, collaborative learning, and action planning. Our work focuses on our five burning issues: education, homelessness, food insecurity, incarceration, and immigration. We also have resources to facilitate deeper conversation and action on systemic injustices, such as racism, classism, and poverty. Previous workshops have been given for groups participating in summer service programs, workshops for confirmation classes, and classes focused on Catholic Social Teaching. We look forward to working with you and planning a workshop to enhance the work of justice in our city and our world.

Rates negotiated per group size and length of workshop. Contact Danny Warwick, our Program Director, for availability.
