Virtual Programs
The Br. David Darst Center is eager to continue justice education and critical reflection through our virtual programs. Students, church members, and people of all ages are still hungry for opportunities to dive into experiential learning, dialog, and action to address injustices in our world. Our virtual programs are a great option for those unable to travel to Chicago for a retreat but still want to ask critical questions about how to better live as one human family and how we can #SeeItDifferently. For students and schools, virtual workshops can become a part of e-learning or a meaningful co-curricular activity.
We offer both virtual retreats for all ages and virtual workshops for students based on our burning issues: education, homelessness, food insecurity, incarceration, and immigration. Each virtual program includes time with one or more of our local partner agencies in Chicago as featured speakers to share on the ground insight and experiences. We also have resources to facilitate deeper conversation and action on systemic injustices, such as racism, classism, and poverty. We are open to a conversation on how to best craft a virtual program to your needs and your community, whether that be as a complement to a course, a parish retreat, or a community engagement experience for your company.
Please contact Danny Warwick, our Program Director, to discuss virtual program opportunities.
